Week 3 Catch Up
Early in the week,Tyler got special access to Dr. Simon Fraser and gave us greater insight into what happened with Dr. Fraser and what his kidnappers wanted from him.
Based on all the strange stuff she’s witnessed and the info Dr. Fraser gave her, Tyler is starting to speculate that the group she’s come to know as Liber8 could actually be from the future. She’s still sifting through the implications of this but her guard is definitely up. Too bad the cops won't take her seriously.
Readers of Tyler’s blog quickly discovered an unlock code hidden in the alt text of Fraser’s ID. Just hover over the ID in the article and you’ll see it too. The code unlocked the long awaited Carlos avatar.
The second puzzle of the week was divided into two parts. The first 4 digits of the unlock code for the CPS Drone Wallpaper was embedded in a new Liber8 video that put out a call out to Liber8 followers to prepare for action. Something big is coming but it’s not clear yet exactly what.
Observes noticed that there was a morsecode embedded in the video and quickly deciphered the first half of the unlock code. For those of you who didn’t catch it the morsecode was:
.---- …-- -…. ….-
You’ve still got to decipher it yourself that but it shouldn’t be too hard.
The second part of the unlock code wasn’t released until the next day and was the first to incorporate real world locations.
Travis posted a map from 2077 in the Liber8 forum and revealed that their files were hacked and an important location for upcoming Liber8 operatives was now lost. The hacked file appeared on Tyler’s blog with a scrambled message. When the map was overlayed with the hacked file it indicated three locations in Vancouver.

The file contained three location markers - based on what we know of Liber8, clearly two of the markers were decoys.
The scrambled message was quickly identified as a Pigpen cipher with the ##XX format. The message contained a reference to Vancouver's Victory Square, the site of a riot in 1935 where the mayor read the riot act to a group of unemployed men, and a quote from the memorial day poem In Flanders Fields.
At the end of the message were four letters that when decoded stood out, CHAI. Players soon identified those as the last 4 digits of the unlock code when they matched the letters to their numerical value (HINT C=3). Congrats to Sebastian for being the fist to decode the message and unlock the blueprint.
But that wasn’t all, the location on the map pointed players to Victory Square where they picked up a package from Liber8 that contained recruitment materials, T-shirts, posters and manifesto handouts. The intrepid darrenl went down to the location and successfully picked up the package. A big congrats to him.
Stay tuned for more. And keep up the great work.
